I need a male family member with a direct connection to John Porter McElroy to contact me. I have purchased DNA genekits from Ancestry and need him to participate in the test. I do not expect him to pay me back. I thought I could use just one but I can't. I am having my uncle do one and found out I have to have another with direct tie to John McElroy who lived in Weakley Co., TN from 1830s' to 1853 when he died there. John Porter is descended from William, a son of John and my uncle is descended from John who was another son. He came to TX by 1870.
