    3. The book by David Muckleroy is over 3000 typewritten pages with xerox copies in it. David is working on putting it on CD. The information in there is for the Descendants of John Mackelroy (various spellings) of Baltimore Co., MD - all the way down including the female lines - where it has been submitted to him. He wrote the book and made it available back in 1983. The children of John Mackelroy and his wife Francis were: Rachel b. 1713 m. Avington Phelps/Felps John William Archibald possibly 2 more Mary Ann who married a Belk and maybe a James who married a Ruth David's book has all of the information he could find. He and I are both descendants of Archibald. Tom McLeroy was a descendant of both John and William. He was more interested in his research which is excellent and finding and amusing or interesting bits than in descendants not of his line that is past about 3 generations down from the original ancestor. Because there are so many pages, David's book is rather expensive and he is in a wheelchair so it is difficult for him to get out to copy the book. The main part of the book can be rented on microfilm/microfiche from the LDS. I don't know about Tom McLeroy's book. The Salt Lake Family History Library does have a copy of his book. I copied a good many of the pages. As far as I know, his widow who lives in Shelby Co., TX or did, doesn't have any more copies. You might ask at an LDS Library to see if his book is on microfilm or check Familysearch.org on the internet. It is not all that large a book. There is also an earlier section in a book called "The Box Book with McElroy and Floyd" and an earlier section in one of John Bennett Boddie's books - Southern Famlies, Volume IX - This covers from Archibald through his son, Archibald and his son, Micajah with others mentioned along the way. 55 pages. Our bunch is not mentioned in the Scotch Irish McElroys. They appear to be later arrivals. We have found some earlier arrivals, but have been unable to connect them. There was some talk at one time that Kenneth Graves would do a book, but I never heard that he did. Does anyone else know of any more books? Betty
