    3. Have you ever been to McElroy, Texas? It is located on highway 96 from Jasper to Brookland. (very close to and south of Brookland next to the lake). It used to be on all the maps, but I think it has shrunk to just a very small community of less than 100. One of these days, I'll get back there. It'd be a great place to have a reunion. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, August 06, 2000 18:10 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MCELROY-L] RE: McElroy Publication In a message dated 8/5/00 8:04:41 PM Pacific Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: << My mother is a McElroy from East Texas. I am collecting McElroy lines from all over the U.S. . Anyone who is interested in submitting their work (with sources, please) would gladly be credited for their hard work if and when it ever comes to publication. I'm not sure that one person, alone, could accomplish this task as "OUR CLAN" has been very prolific over the generations. >> What McElroy's did your Mother come from. My McElroy's were suppose to have migrated to Lamar County, Texas [near Paris, Honey Grove, etc.] from Bell County, Texas. They came to Texas by way of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Ark., and other places nor necessarily in that order... ha. Would love to hear from you again. And, in a bit I'll send you several generations from my ancestors to see if you've run across any of them, or if any could be tied into your family tree.
