    3. Robbs; Thanks so much for your search for Margaret in the Emigrant Savings Bank records in the Ft Wayne Library. The two gals you found (both from Cavan cty), were not the sister of my GGrandfather Bernard McElroy and his brother Daniel, from the 1860s. I still await a response from St Stephens RC Church, to the following letter. Hopefully, that will be more successful. Dick Webber April 23. 2003 St Stephens RC 142 E 29th St New York, NY 100016 Fr. Sean Harlow And Gladys: This confirms my phone call of today. I am searching for Sacrament records of my GGrandAunt Margaret McElroy-Rooney who lived at 106 E 32nd St in the 1860 Census. They lived there, throughout the 1860s. Terrence disappeared after 1867? Margaret was the sister of my GGrandfather Bernard McElroy and his brother Daniel McElroy. In 1860 she was living with her husband Terrence Rooney and their three children. Following are the birth years of her children that were likely baptized at St Stephens, their closest Catholic Church. Baptisms: Edward Rooney B 1856 Margaret B 1859 Thomas B 1861 Mary B 1865 Robert B 1867 Marriage record? Terrence Rooney B 1832 & Margaret McElroy B 1831 were married before 1856. They both emigrated from Ireland. I would like to search for their marriage records in your records before 1856. You mentioned your suggested donation of $10. I would be glad to donate 6 times $10= $60, for searches for these 5 baptisms and one marriage. Following is my return info. Enclosed is a SASE.
