Hello all, I have been looking for Charles Meigs McCune (b.1848) and his brother, Ashley Cooper McCune's (b.1845) descendants for awhile. I am not a McCune descendant, however, I am related to these fellows. Their mother, nee Elizabeth "Eliza" C. Walthall b.1805, was married first to, John Poland (1790-1841), and they were my 4th great-grandparents. They lived in Amelia County. Their daughter, Mary Poland (1825-1858) who married Thomas L. Warriner was my 3rd great-grandmother. This is the reason I would like very much to find their descendants as we have Eliza as a common ancestor. I do not know what happened to these men after the 1870 census when at least Charles was living with his mother. I did find a listing at Ancestry.com for a Charles M. McCune who died in Pike County, Kentucky in 1927, and he seemed the right age. If any of you are related to them or can help me with any info, I would really appreciate it!
