Am looking for information on Adam M. McCune b. 1846 (?). He married Lucy M. Woodruff 15 Feb. 1869 in Linn County, Yellow Creek Twp, Missouri. The 1870 census show him as a laborer and her as a housewife and lists his place of birth as New York. The funeral record of his oldest son lists Adam's place of birth as Tennessee. Adam's age was listed as 24 years. He and Lucy had 3 children, 2 boys, Edward Hugh b. 24 Jan 1874, Arthur J. b. 24 Aug 1871 and one daughter Mary b. ?. At some point after the children were born he left his family and went "Back" to Austin City, MN according to family stories and was not heard from again. Supposedly he died in MN. Lucy's obit lists her as his widow but I can find nothing on him. Any help would be appreciated. His son Edward Hugh McCune was my great grandfather.
