He was born June 15, 1837 and died Mar 12 1918. He is buried in the old section of Union Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. He grave is marked with a white civil war veteran's marker. His wife, Mary Annie White McCormick is buried next to him in an unmarked grave. His son, William Henry McCormick was my great grandfather. Willam and his wife Sally are also buried in that cemetery. His obit follows (I failed to note the newspaper - it would have been tyhe Dispatch or the Citizen's Journal from Mar 13, 1918: H.L. McCormick, 80, retired, died of infirmities of age Tuesday morning at his hime, 605 s. High St. Six daughters and one son survives. Funeral at 2pm on Thursday. Burial in Union Cemetery by N. S. Cook. I know William was still alive at that time and I think Harrison was still alive. Perhaps Harrison was seperate from family for one reason or another. The other son, Emmitt was deceased. I have sketchy notes on the remaining children of LH and Mary McCormick as my computer is down and I'm going on written notes. Minna b. 1867 m. Ida Della Shipley d. 1956. I've been told he is buried somewhere out in the eastern part of Ohio. Perhaps Glenco, Ohio. William Henry b. Sept 11 1872 in Raysville, Jackson Co., Ohio (now Ray, Vinton co., Ohio) m. Sarah Elizabeth Theola Harrison (Sally or Ola)on Sept 27, 1894 d. Aug 9, 1961 Maggie b. Dec 1, 1873 in Jackson, Jackson Co., Ohio m. Dixon Fulton Alta May b. Jan 3, 1876 in Raysville, Jackson Co., Ohio (now Ray, Vinton co., Ohio) m. Frank Dow (later divorced) Buried at Union also. (Two children, one died as a toddler and the other died in his 30's. Alta's grave is unmarked but lies beside her son Basil's marked grave) Lilly A. b. Aug 29, 1877 in Harrison, Vinton Co., Ohio m. Reese Taylor Emmitt L b. July 4, 1879 in Harrison, Vinton co., Ohio m 1) ? 2) Blanche Crumb Cecil Sarah b April 2, 1883 in Harrison, Vinton Co., Ohio m. James Eberst and lived in Toledo area. I spoke with Patrick's wife at one point awhile back about his life and his father, Benny who had been murdered. Benny was a child of Harrison. Alfred is also a child of Harrison's and he was still alive 3 years ago and living outside of Nashville TN. His son Dana is an avid family researcher but I have not had a chance to get with him about more info. Dana lived in Cumberland Furnace, TN. I'll see if I can get contact info and get back in touch. Here with you and Patrick and then briefly with Dana are the only contact I've found researching this line at all. I'd love more input and I have files and tons more paperwork and details.
