Your William is not my William. But there are a lot of names that are the same. My William came to the US in about 1837 and married in up state NY. in Fulton Co. He married Rebbeca Vedder. She had to children James and Mary. No, I do not know the name of William's first wife. But I have heard that he had a second daughter that was older than Bridget that was married and stayed in Ireland. My William came over with his brother I thing Peter and they were separated on the docks in N.Y. and never saw each other again. I have reason to believe that Peter had a son named John.
