    3. Michael, Do you have a John T McCormick? I have one by that name, born 1868, MO. The 1910 Erath Co., TX census, shows he was born in MO and both of his parents were born in IL. Also, I have him on the 1900 census for Johnson Co., TX. In 1898, he married Ida Josephine Halbert, who had two daughters, Bessie May Halbert, and Edith P Halbert. The girls show up on his census records as step-daughters. Edith married my dad's younger brother, James Hubert McElroy, 1913, Thurber, Erath Co., TX. They had no children. They are buried at Roosevelt, Kiowa Co., OK, and the McCormicks are both burried there also, in 1920. When I first became interested in the family history, I asked my dad what Aunt Edith's maiden name was and he told me McCormick. I didn't know about the name Halbert until I located these census records. I hope we can help each other. Dortha McElroy Greenlee Dgreen909H@Cox.net
