The Commission maintains databases of the records of the casualties that are buried in the cemeteries or listed as missing -- a total of 176,399 records (there were 405,399 American casualties in WWII): Americans in WWI and WWII cemeteries overseas; the MIA from WWI and WWII memorialized in the cemeteries and on 3 memorials in the U.S.; those killed worldwide during the Korean War; the Commission also has listings of War Dead and veterans of the Mexican War, Civil War and Spanish-American War who are buried at the ABMC cemeteries in Corozal, Panama, and Mexico City.
