I was going through these records and found a John McCormick from Ireland; not my family, but I thought it might be a help to someone on the list. These 1880's records from the city asylum are very interesting ... but, most of them are, also, very sad. P 72 Normal; Pupils Normal; Answers and speaks very rationally to all questions asked – knows not however where he was born – Gives a correct version of his age, trade, etc. Speaks very rationally, shows no sign of insanity, but insists that it is better to leave him here.
