John T McCormick was born 1868 in Missouri (census records). He married Ida Josephine Halbert, 1898, in TX (?) They are on the 1900 census for Johnson Co., TX and the 1910 census for Erath Co., TX. Two children, were listed as John's step-children. Bessie May Halbert, born 1890, and Edith P Halbert, born 1894. Edith married my uncle, (James) Hubert McElroy. They later moved to Roosevelt, OK in Kiowa Co. I have found cemetery records in Roosevelt, OK, for Hubert and Edith McElroy and also John and Ida J McCormick. My dad told me that Aunt Edith's maiden name was McCormick. I don't know if he didn't know any better, or she had always gone by McCormick. (?) On the census record, for 1910 Erath Co., TX it is stated that John's paarents were born in Illinois. I will appreciate any help. Dortha McElroy Greenlee

I have a gggrandfather, JOHN EDWARD MCCORMACK b.1828, from cork Ire(1850?). Moved around alot, from Canada(1856), Iowa, Ms(1860), Tenn(1863)CW, Ky(1870) and ended in Ga(1880). Wife was (1) Johanna Gleeson,(LimerickIre), (2) Feraby Wilson (Tn) Children were Michael,Andrew,Mary,Johanna,Sarah. Also his brother THOMAS NICOLAS McCORMICK in Verona KY, Wife Johanna Flynn. I think there were also McCormick kin in Louisville Ky. I'm always looking for connections.
