He was born in County Ross Common, Ireland, in 1826, and emigrated to this country in 1850, locating at Jeanesville. The family moved to Spencer forty years ago where Mr. McCormick owned one of the most productive farms in New England. His wife preceded him in death twenty-five years ago. He is survived by one son Michael and two daughters, Margaret and Sarah at Spencer.

In most of the census it says Hiram G. McCormick was born in NY. I had thought maybe it was NYCity. but nothing for sure on that one. Seneca interested me for Meeker, Osborne, Smith, Munroe, Ogden and Force names appear in that area. Hiram's wife Ginnette (Janet on stone) Munroe 1811 also born in NY. Justine
