With all these MCCORMICK searchers....let's start sharing what we have on our McCormick lines. Mine: Grandfather, Peter McCormack, b.1860 in townland of Derreen, in East Galway. This is located between Ballinasloe and Ballygar on the River Suck and on the county Roscommon border. His parents were Peter McCormack and Mary Keane [many spellings of this surname]. Siblings Thomas [inherited the home], Michael, John, Daniel, Mary, Catherine, Anne and possibly others. GF came to Boston 1880 and his older brother Daniel came to Boston 1870. I have tentatively traced them back to 1745 and possibly even back to 1693 to Athlone in county Westmeath. Am looking forward to other listers McCormick family info. Hello Joyce, When I saw "It concerns the very early Irish family" I knew I needed to see it. :) My grandparents were immigrants and I have been to Ireland and visited the 'ancestral' homes. There are always extended families to seek. Please send what you have to me too.....thank you so much. Janice Boston In a message dated 2/19/2007 8:59:04 P.M. With this James enumerate of 1790 his span in US was only 20 years. Does anyone have a list of any children of this James. The only record I have is census saying my Hiram G. was born in NY 1804-07?? I don't have any other record except that Bernard McCormick lived in NY in this time frame. Hiram's son Rev. Wm. had a son Rev. Charles (his daughter Josephine Martin McCormick) applied to the DAR with this information and was ok'd into the organization on these records.-I guess at that time they didn't have to suppy birth records. Any help would be appreciated.Justine McCormick --- CAROL CHURCH <carol_church1@verizon.net> wrote: > The time frame would be before 1800 so I would think it is the township of > Walkill.
