I'm pretty certain that him and The Alexander McCormick that married Elizabeth Turner are not the same people--lists of children do not match and the death location that I have doesn't match either. He apparently had at least two brothers, Alexander B. either 1823, 1826, or 1829, and Angus, B. 1836, both in PEI. Although I have found many references to their offspring, I can find little about the parents. Currently, I am pursuing Archibald and Mary, emigrating from the New Hebrides around 1800. There is some information out there that says her name could be Mary Ann McEachern, but I am not yet convinced. Does any of this tie into the information you have gathered? It shows that he died Sept 14, 1959 and was survived by two brothers, Patrick and Michael of Greenwich, NY. and sister Mrs. Steward Holmes of Glen Falls, NY. I haven't had a lot of time to look since I returned but did find a Michael from Hollymount in Washington County in 1920 and 1930. It shows mother Ellen living with him who immigrated around 1909. It shows Michael immigrated in 1913. I also found Partick in the 1900-1930 census in Greenwich. He immigrated in 1898. I went to St Mary's Cemetery and found Richard's gravesite with his wife Nellie Duggan as well as my husband's dad, Robert McCormick. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with. He was born June 15, 1837 and died Mar 12 1918. He is buried in the old section of Union Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. He grave is marked with a white civil war veteran's marker. His wife, Mary Annie White McCormick is buried next to him in an unmarked grave. His son, William Henry McCormick was my great grandfather. Willam and his wife Sally are also buried in that cemetery. His obit follows (I failed to note the newspaper - it would have been tyhe Dispatch or the Citizen's Journal from Mar 13, 1918: H.L.
