Williams. Rev. S. J. Johnston, pastor of the Reformed Presbyterian church, heard the exchange of nuptial vows, at 8 o'clock, the attendants being Misses Bessie and Sophia McConnell, sisters of the bride, and Fred Williams, a brother of the groom, and W. S. Sprott. Mrs. Florida presided at the piano, playing the bridal chorus from Lohengrin. A profusion of daisies, orange blossoms and roses made the house unusually attractive and a wedding dinner followed with plates arranged for 75 friends and relatives. The bride and her sisters were prettily attired in white and carried flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Williams, the latter in a gray suit, departed later in the evening for Punxsutawney, to visit the groom's parents for a few days prior to going to Glassport, to make their home. Out of town guests were Mrs. Williams and son Fred of Butler county; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Boley of Evans City, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koliker of Butler. NOTE: Ethel Alfretta McConnell was b. June 17, 1890 and d. Sept. 30, 1989. Herbert B. Williams b. March 3, 1888 and d. March 23, 1965. They had 3 children. Ethel's parents were William Henry & Margaret May (Gardner) McConnell.
