Ireland, b. abt 1742 in Cork, Bangor, or Belfast? He emigrated to Long Island, New York in 1765, and then, as a Loyalist, to Nova Scotia in 1784. He died 28 Dec 1808 in Weymouth, Nova Scotia. He came to N. America with "Joseph", believed to be his twin brother. He married Elizabeth HAINS in 1770, daughter of Matthew HAINS and Sarah MILLER. I am looking for Benjamin's parents, who could possibly be Joseph McConnell and Hannah Brown, but I have no proof of this and I don't remember where I got the info.
