I think that some of these folks have compared notes with you in the past, but I'm not really sure. It would probably make sense at this point to compare notes again, and I could help them get in touch with you if desired. This family suspects a connection to an Alexander McConnell that they think came from Dumfries, Scotland, and some other DNA matches seem to support a Dumfries origin for them. I am interested because I have another McConnell family, and have been working with McConnell researchers in the project to help us all with our DNA research.
