I don't think that I am related to your McConnell family, but I was researching McConnell deaths in NJ for 1912 and found a birth certificate for an infant brother of your grandmother. I will e-mail it directly to you. You'll notice that your great-grandfather was born in Lambertville, which is in Hunterdon County. I think that may be a good clue for you. Now I have a question. You said were looking for William McConnell circa 1880s. Is that when you have trouble tracking him, or maybe when you think he was born? Or was he about the same age as his wife, or older?
