    3. Hello all, I’ve been a long time lurker, hoping for something that comes close to my lines, but as of yet, nothing on this list. So., Here is what I know.. James Joseph McConnell, b. abt 1893/4 Enniskillin (en?), Ireland. d. 1984, St. Petersburg, FL... He came to the USA in 1914 from Ireland. He settled in Brooklyn, N.Y. and served in the military during WWI, also was a chauffer prior to becoming a Brooklyn Cop (1921-1943) While in Brooklyn, he married Nora (Honora Donnelly A.K.A. Annie), then moved to Charlotte, N.C. Where his oldest daughter still lives. They had three children all born in Brooklyn, C(K)atherine b. abt. 1923, Henry b. 1925 & Paul b. 1928. (She is the only living child left & refuses to give any information about her parents or her family.) I know that when James came to the US, he came to stay with a brother, Patrick (who I also believe became a cop) at 126 Bridge St., Brooklyn, he had at least one other brother that remained in Ireland, Andrew who was in Derryleague, Macken, in 1914. James’s parents were Hugh McConnell & Mary (nee. Murphy) McConnell, no other information known. ANY help with this family, would be so much appreciated, I have been working on this line for 25 yrs.
