He was in the Korean War in the US Army. His nickname was Red Feather. Back in the early 50's he said he wanted to be a bounty hunter. He had lived in or near an Indian Reservation in either Arizona or New Mexico. Silver City rings a bit. He is not on the SSDI. The only place I found info was on 1994 telephone search url.
