I have always wondered how a Scots-Irish family ended up amongst the Germans in Pennsylvania. Someone just emailed me about a Robt. McClain from Scotland (b. 1746) who married Patience Pileshe. Someone else volunteered the marriage of Robt. McClain who married Patience Piles. Will check this out further.
