Surnames: McClain Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3kz.2ACIB/965 Message Board Post: I am trying to trace the McClain side of my family and I keep running into road blocks due to lack of information. E.A. McClain is my great-grandfather. According to the family we was born in MS but left home at age 16 and became a railcar hobo. At some point he joined the Navy and then married a Virginia Gould at which point they settled in Texas. E.A. McClain is still alive at age 95 (not sure) which would put his birth year around 1908. He currently resides in Houston, Texas but I am not able to communicated with him due to his failing health. E.A. and Virginia had two children, daughter Patricia and son E.A.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
