McClain, son of George Washington McClain and Martha Slagel died June, 1942 in St. Marys,PA...services will be conducted at Miola, Clarion county. Sheldon died at 12:15 Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Herbert W. Irving in Saxonburg, PA where he and Mrs. Mclain (nee Nellie Reck) had been visiting the past week. Death was attributed to a heart attack..Mr.McAlain was born at Miola, Pa December 19, 1869 and in his younger days was a Clarion River raftsman. The family moved to St. Marys in 1918 and since that time the deceased had been an employee of the Speer Carbon Co.. He is survived by his wife, and three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Logan, Miss Mildred McClain of Miola and Helen, Mrs. H. W. Irving of Saxonburg. Sheldon's first wife was Mary Estella Mahle whom he married June 5, 1895. Their daughter, Mildren Lillian McCalin was born 9/19/1898 at Rainetown (ghost town since early mid 1900's in Elk County, PA)
