I am descended from John McClain ( Johns father was David McClain born approx 1713 in Scotland or Ireland) through his daughter Mahala. Mahala McClain married my GGG grandfather "Posey Mattox" in Bedford Co VA in December 1802. I do know I have lots of McClain cousins out there somewhere & would love to compare notes.
