Did this John McClain have any siblings? I'm looking for parents of James McLean/McClain, d. 1837 in Hardin Co, TN. Estimated dob. 1770-1780 ??. There is some evidence that a James McClain was in KY prior to the time he came to Hardin Co, TN 1820-1830 soon after the county was formed [1819]. Some say his wife Kizziah, was daughter of James Hardin from the family the county was named for? Am trying to find parents and/or birthplace of Jeremiah McClain, born about 1785, probably KY. He emigrated to Jefferson Co., MO in 1802 with the Peter Patrick McCormack party. Jeremiah McClain lived the rest of his life in Jefferson Co., MO and died there on 25 March, 1836. Any information would be much appreciated. D.A.
