My grandmother is edna mae mcclain. her father is peter alexander mcclain who was married to rachel molinda marsh. Peter alexander changen his name when he was kicked out of west virgina to harold Bailey. He also had a child with a lady name Fannie Mae. Her name is Mary not sure if her last name is mcclain or bailey. I would like to fine My grandmother's siblings. ALL i have is there name and date of birth. Ova McClain who married a Worthy Carson. Ova was born April 17 of 1898 in clarksburg, west virgina. James Cecil McClain who was born January 12 of 1896 in clarksburg, west virgina. If I had to guess, based on naming a firstborn son for his father, maybe the husband's name was John or "H"--for Henry or Hughes ? Yes Fayette County Penna is where the progentor of this family can be found. Robert McClain or McClane and his wife Patience Piles. Robert was born in Scotland on 1746.

Hi I am from Pa. My great great grandfather was Daniel McClain and he was born in Ohio.. sad part is I don't know where and I have no idea where in Ohio he came from. He was born abt 1820.. He was hit by a train in Midway,Pa in 1894. He was married twice and had 7 children to his first wife. His son Absolum is my great grandfather.. Does any one know of any McClain's that came to Western Pa and settled in Washington Co?? My dads uncle was Daniel McClain of Staw Camp. Daniel was the brother of John R.McClain of Harlem Springs ,Ohio and their parents were John Jacob McClain and Martha Robbins.

Edna Mae McClain was my grandmother who was born the 12 of may in 1916 in clarksburg, west virgina. She married a John Hamilton Ford and had three girls. Edna Mae pasted away may 5 of 1966 in springfield, ohio. Edna was one out of six children by Peter Alexander McClain. Peter was born March 27 of 1875 in Weston, West Virginia. He married a Rachel Molinda Marsh in Weston, West Virgina. He was Kicked out of West Virgina by the KKK cause he poision the family drinking well while the family was in church. He moved to Springfield, Ohio in 1926 and changed his name to Harold Bailey to hide from the KKK. While he was in ohio he meet a lady name Fannie Mae ( maiden name is unknowed) and also had one child. He pasted away in March 5 of 1946 in Wellsburg, West Virgina. The childrens names of Peter and Rachel's are as Follwed; James Cecil McClain, William Doresy McClain ( Iva ) , orville Evert McClain, Ova Janet (McClain) car! son, Peter Russell McClain. Peter's parents are Hamilton McClain and Janet Barb, both are from Weston, west virgina. Hamilton and Janet had three children ( Peter Alexander, Anna, and Willa). The Father of Hamilton IS William McClain and he was born about 100 in white's camp run, west virgina.
