They were in a Tulsa, OK flea market. One is Edna Pearl McClain, age 7 taken by the Kerr Bros studios in Parsons, KS. the other is an elderly man with a white beard which was with the same batch of photos and only identified with 'Grandpa McClain' and the faint notation he was born April 23, 1837? No studio name. Last digit unclear. Seems to have been taken about 1910, his dark suit is more contemporary than Victorian and his tie is long, not a bow tie. Will send JPG if you think these to be of interest to your lines.

Hi all I am researching the ancestors and decedents of John McClain and his wife Isabella UNKNOWN especially as they relate to their son Archibald MCCLAIN and his wife Rhoda DEWEY. I have a good deal of information of Archibald and Rhoda's children and grandchildren but little on their pedigree. ARCHIBALD McCLAIN I b c1777 VA/PA d 05 April 1851 at the age of 75 years and 12 days Union Twp. Del Co IN s/o John McClain I and Isabella m SUSAN (RHODA) DEWEY b c1777 MD d 1 Sep 1853 Union Twp. Del Co IN. We know this family or part of this family lived for awhile in Wayne Co. as one of Archibald's daughters (Jane) married David LYKINS (Spelled LYKINGS on the marriage cert.) in that county. They may have also lived in Greenup Co KY as one son (James) was said to have been born there. Any additional information on this family would be greatly appreciated. Tom

Sorry but I don't know anything about the Collins line. According to my dates (not all personally verified), Hester Hattie Hodges married Lindsay James Rutherford on 7 Oct 1830 in Hardeman Co., TN. If that is correct, there is no way their child married 5 years later. I know that Edmond Hodges died 31 July 1831 in Hardeman Co., TN and his widow Sarah was in Houston Co., TX by 02 Dec 1841 when she received a 2nd class land grant from the Republic of Texas. Let me know if you need any further information.
