Hi Peggy, The McCauley line I am working on is my son-in-laws. His name is also William McCauley. He descends from the original William through William and Cornelia. Their son Charles married Julia Ann Watson. There is a long standing tradition in this branch of naming a child after the McCauley grandparent. This explains the Charles & William connection. My son in laws ggrandfather had a sister named Charles Anna which we found on census. If you want, I can send a quick descendancy list. Could you send one to me also?
