According to the Ontario Lands Records Index, an Angus and a John McCauley received a gratuitous grant of land on Nov 22 1851 (lot 29 con 2NDR Kincardine). Angus and John may be the sons of Duncan McCauley and Catherine McLellan who were originally from Scotland.
