Hi Mac I just noticed your interest in John McCauley in St Helens. I don't have any further info on the McCauleys in Ireland but I think that we are perhaps looking for the same family. My GG Grandfather is Hugh McCauley born in Ireland in 1845. His father was Patrick. Is your John the one living at 77 Parr Street, Windle? If so, he has a daughter called Mary Jane whom we have a birth certificate for as we purchased it thinking that it was our Mary Jane (my Gt Grandmother). At the same time Hugh McCauley was living at 77 Union Street, Windle! Please let me know if these are your family and we can perhaps compare notes.
