If you are going to Detroit, you might want to check out the Burton Historical Collection located at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library. Library is on the campus of Wayne State University on Woodward Avenue. Excellent, helpful genealogical library that emphasizes Detroit and Michigan, and extends to neighboring states.
