My own proven McCauley line goes back to Nicholas J. McCauley, prob born in Anne Arundel Co., Md. (now Howard Co.) in 1806. I have been unsuccessful in finding out who his parents were although I believe they may have been William and Lavina Gambril McCauley. Consequently, my line doesn't go back far enough to include your George. I do have a number of records going back further, but I find no George McCauley's.
