Hello everyone. Here I am with the McCauley variety of spelling of the name. Being a beginner in the genealogy effort of a family which believes their origins to be of the Scottish Clan MacAulay of Helensburgh. Of late I have been concerned that this may not be true as I can find no information to confirm this fact. This came about as a result of not being able to find how the spelling of the name was changed to its' present form. I would most like to hear from anyone any information concerning this matter.
