What I know of my William McCauley is he was born about 1813 in Antrim Ireland. He came to KY in 1840 but don't know if he was in Ill first. When he died land had to be sold in Illinois or Iowa. I have always wondered if he had a wife and either left her or she died and he left his children with her family. He had a brother John born abut 1815. John and his family came to Elizabethtown Ky in 1848. John died six weeks later of pneumonia. William died in 1852
