I noticed an inquiry about the McCauley surname in Augusta Co., Virginia and was wondering if anyone has information on Robert McCauley/McColly who married in 1794 in Augusta C., Virginia Margaret Jane Carson. She had died by 1815 when he married Margaret Gandy a widow. I notice you mention a Joseph McCauley and you mention Augusta Co. Can this be the relative of one of Robert's brothers? I have this Robert McCauley as passing away in Lewis Co., Virginia/West Virginia about 1838 and children John - Mary Ann - Andrew - Sarah - Frances by marriage #1.
