I am tracing two individuals and have not had much luck. Mary Margaret McCauley b. Abt. 1830 d. 4/25/1883 and married to Philip Blottenberger date unknown. They had several children. She is also found in the census with a Charles Mccauley who is a year younger than her and may be her brother. There are simply hundreds of McCauleys in the Maryland Historical Society files and it has been exhausting trying to link them together in family groups. any help would be welcome!! aggiroux@radicus.net

    2. I do not have siblings. The story goes that Ann Miller and her parents were on the same boat as Barney McCauley. Her parents died during the voyage and she and mcCauley wed either in Delaware or Cecil County. I don't have time right now but I'll try to dig out the source. I know the Cecil County Historical Society has a file on this family. 3. I know nothing more about Francis McCauley. He was an original owner of land later owned by ELLIOTTs, one of whom married Elizabeth Jane Ewart, sister of Catherine Ann Ewart, whose marriage Eliza McCauley witnessed. Ewart Henry Coupland, who married a McCauley much later, is the grandson of Elizabeth and Catherine's brother William. They had two cousins on the Ewart side who were named Eliza(beth) Jane. Sooo I am wondering if Eliza McCauley was an Ewart by birth - their aunt. Perhaps she was married to Francis?
