"Jim" DONER, who for nearly thirty years has been custodian of the County Courthouse, was given a testimonial dinner last night by the members of the Corridor Club, after a theatre party. Suit has been commenced in the City Court by MAGARETHA ROST for a separation from her husband MICHAEL ROST. The parties were married in this city on July 3, 1870. Mrs. ROST avers that about a year after the marriage her husband abused her, and that on July 16, 1881, he struck her on the head. She further alleges that ROST is of ungovernable temper and has threatened to kill her with a knife. They had Chainey, Mary Jane, Fanny, Levi, Theodore and Evert as children. (I may have forgotten one or two). Hello Hal, Noticed your inquiries concerning PA McCauley's. Would like to hear anything, historically, about this family and its' orgins in Ireland/Scotland. My own relatives lived in Hundingdon/Blair Co and arrived 1828. Currently I am looking for the names of GGG Grandfather James McCauley. I have no middle initial nor the names of his parents, most important, I do know he was born 1820 and came to the U.S. 1828 he was only eight years so I feel certain he came with parents. Watson Raphael McCauley was born Dec. 20, 1905 in Devil's Lake, North Dakota. Watson was the son of John McCauley and Griselda Mabel "Isabelle" Broad. Watson died May 31, 1980 and he is buried at Mt. View Memorial Park, in Tacoma. His only known descendant is a son named Richard McCauley who was born about 1950. Any information about this family would be appreciated.
