She was born about 1862 in Canada, her parents were Octave Terrian, Sr. and Caroline (last name was probably Morrisette). Their family immigrated to the northern Michigan area in the late 1860s. She had a son, Moses Terrian who was born in 1877 and died in 1960. I don't think she was married to his father. She married Arthemour P. McCauley on 11 Oct 1883 in Cheboygan County, Michigan. Arthur may have had a previous marriage. I have Arthur born in Ohio abut 1849/1850. His father was born in New York and his mother was born in Pennsylvania. I have their children being: Fred C. McCauley was born 7 Aug 1890 in Hebron Township, Cheboygan County, Michigan. Bessie born about 1894/1895 in Wisconsin Wallace born about 1895/1898 in Wisconsin Alice or Allice born about 1897 in Wisconson. Probably another daughter, Ava, don't know where or when she was born, but she is probably the oldest daughter. She may have married and died young. After Wisconsin, by 1910 the family had moved to Allardt, Fentress Co., Tennessee. Arthur and Hannah were still alive in 1920. Hannah spent a lot of time in Michigan. They are a hard family to track down. Their daughter, Bessie married Joseph Brooks in Tennessee in 1909/1910. He was born about 1882 in Tennessee. They were living in Mackinaw Township, Cheboygan County, Michigan in 1920. Their children were born in Tennessee: Paul born about 1910/1911, Earl born about 1911/1912, Allice born about 1914/1915, Moses born about 1916/1917 and Caroline born about 1918/1919. I'd love to hear about any additional information you have on the family. Did Fred change his last name to Cooper? I don't have a George, but Hannah did have 8 or 9 children and I don't have all their names. Pat

Brooklyn Union Angus - 13 September 1882 ACCIDENTS Nellie COLLINS, aged 6, of 111 Bushwick Avenue, suffered concussion of the brain, and, possibly, fracture of the skull by the fall of an oyster stand on her head, yesterday afternoon. Philip MAPES, aged 40, of 333 Stanton Street, New York, while working in Braham's cigar factory, 212 and 214 First Street, Eastern District, lost four fingers of his right hand and three of his left by the slipping of a circular saw yesterday afternoon. William WISDOM, aged 65 years, last night fell down a flight of stairs at his residence, No. 380 Court Street, and fractured his skull. DIED HOLMES - On September 12, after a lingering illness, William H. HOLMES, of Bloomington, Ill. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services from his late residence, 433 Quincy Street, Thursday, 14th inst., at 5 P.M. Interment at Hempstead Friday. DEATH OF A MAN WHO ALMOST DROWNED. John O'BRIEN, of Columbia Street, who was rescued from drowning on Saturday last, died Monday and Dr. MCCAULEY, who attended him, refused to give a certificate so an inquest will be held. Death, however, is supposed to have been caused by a bronchial affliction produced by his fall into the river. DELINQUENT POLICEMEN. Two Members of the Force Dismissed and One Fined. Officer Charles MALENBURG, of the Second Precinct, was today dismissed from the department by Commissioner JOURDAN. He was charged with neglecting to investigate a report of a burglary made to him by a citizen, and failing to report the case at the station; with sitting on a stoop in Talman Street while on duty, and failing to discover a broken pane of glass in HALL, BLAIR & Co.'s cigar store, corner of Fulton and Nassau Streets. Officer Thomas EARLEY, of the Eleventh Precinct, was dismissed from the force because General JOURDAN deemed him a dangerous man. On Monday last he fired three shots at John O'KEEFE, who had escaped from him, in a crowded street, one of the bullets striking a pedestrian. He also clubbed O'KEEFE brutally. EARLEY, a few months ago was shot and dangerously injured by a Canadian named MCCULLOCH, who he had arrested. Officer Thomas SCOTT, of the Fifth Precinct, who was on duty at the Grand Street Ferry on the 30th ultimo, when Maggie KEPPEL crossed the ferry with Lizzie SEIDEN, was fined two days pay for not seeing the woman and child.
