Jennie was my Great Grandmother. I hadn't known she was born in 1867. Thank you for that. The following information I obtained by way of an internet posting by a woman in Idaho named Jennifer Erickson: Jennie's full name was Jennie Luella McCauley. Her husband's full name was George Eric Erickson. George Eric Erickson was born in August of 1862 in Sweden. He died March 1935. Jennie died February 28 of year unknown. They both died in Lehigh, Iowa. George and Jennie had seven children that I know of: Merle, Lillian ( my Grandmother), Carl (Jennifer Erickson' ancestor), Nellie, Walter, Martha, and Jennie. As I mentioned, Lillian Mae was my Grandmother. She and her husband, Arne Mikal Monson (from Norway) had 7 children: Edna, Everette, Edward, Alma, Emmett, Hubert and Harold (my Father). So, that's how I fit into the family. George Erickson's parents were Jonas Erickson, born in Sweden in 1836, and Martha Johnson, born about 1840, also in Sweden. Jennie's parents were James Lanthrup McCauley and Martha Jones. I have no other information on them currently. I hope this helps. I'm am constantly searching the internet for more information. I would be happy to share anything I come up with in the future. In the meantime, I would be interested in getting a note back from you, telling me a little bit about yourself. Regards, Michael Monson mhmslm@earthlink.net p.s. Welcome to the family!

Hi, My dead end McCauley is George B. McCauley. None of the names you mention are any I know of. I was hoping for someone who knew other siblings of either George or his daughter, Beulah. Good luck. I am so sorry but I have no info on your family. I have come across numerous postings for McCauley's in Tenn and other southern states, but my family is from the NY area - where I seem to have hit a dead end. Wish I could have helped!
Marlen, Since you have done extensive research on the McCauley line , I have a question. My "deadend" McCauley is John mcCauley born ca 1800 ,in N.C. (according to 1850 census Ark.)He states his father was born in Ireland but no name is given. He migrated to Tenn ca. 1815 (maybe with an uncle). About 1833 in Tenn he married Sarah Ann"Sally" Cheatham born Va. 1817, daughter of Bartley Cheatham &Jane Walker their first 2 children were born in Tenn 1832-38, then they migrated to Randolph co. Ark where 5 more children were born. 3 of their children intermarried with children of Don C. Sally( Phillips) Moore. D.C. was son of John &Eleanor(Marbury)Moore. Here is my question.Have you come across this family of McCauleys in your research? Who was the parents of John McCauley? What County in N.C. was he from?
