McCarty's sister Annice McCarty who married Henry Walker. Here goes: Orange B. McCarty (Sr) was born 23 July 1813 in Edgefield Dist, SC to Edward McCarty (Sr., 1772 Edgefield - 1852 Wayne Co, Ms.) and Sarah Larramore (only one of the many spellings of her surname) (1772 PeeDee River Dist, SC - 1860 Wayne Co, Ms). Orange (Sr.) married Mary "Polly" Arrington, I don't know yet where or when. Polly was the daughter of Arthur Arrington and Milly Ann unknown. I have no data on them. Before Orange B. McCarty, Sr. died on 8 Jan 1897 Burke, Angelina Co, Texas (buried Old McCarty Cem, Burke, Angelina Co, Tx) he and Polly had the following children: Amos McCarty (married Elizabeth McNeal) Kenneth McCarty killed in Civil War at age 18 yrs Michael McCarty killed in Civil War, rank Lieut. Berry T. McCarty no data at all Orange B. McCarty, Jr. b: 27 Jan 1841 Ms. m: Catherine Frances Walker (no date or place) d: 25 Dec 1900 Elias D. McCarty b: 4 Oct 1847 m: Melissa Elizabeth Smith on 23 Dec 1868 d: 27 May 1909 buried Old McCarty Cem, Burke, Angelina Co, Texas Elias and Melissa had eight children if anyone is interested in their line Hope this information helps someone.
