I am not sure but I thought I saw the Larkin McCARTY name attached to the group of McCARTY's that descend from Michael McCARTY, Sr. who was born in abt. 1728 in County Cork, Ireland and then emigrated to South Carolina. Other researchers from this line need to step in here as I am not familiar enough with this line but it certainly seems familiar to me.
