I am new to the list, I think. That is, I routinely go in a list and monitor it for a year or so, then unsubscribe when I think I have gotten all of the information available at the time. Then I go back later and and start focusing on that line again. So, I may have corresponded with some of you before. I am still trying to find more information on the following direct line, from father to son: Enoch McCarty, Fredrick VA. 1753-1818, mar. Elenor Morgan Enoch, 1794-1850 b.Washington Co.,VA, d. MO, mar. Mattie Hays, then Nancy Gillespie Campbell, 1820-1902, b. VA, d. MO, mar. Mollie Woods George, 1855-1941, b.MO, d.TX, mar. Mattie Crites (my grandparents) I have more information on the above if anyone is interested. I have documented evidence of all the above except the first. I know Enoch Jr. had a father named Enoch, but I do not have documents that prove these two were father and son. The first Enoch descended from Darby McCarty, who has been researched alot.
