This list was actually in moderated mode from 5-5-2000 (the date of the offending off-topic message) until late 5-10-2000, at which time I turned it back into a unmoderated list. I really had hopes since no remarks made about this particular posting had made it to the list, and that we were all adult enough to ignore it and go on with our research. Unfortunately I was wrong <sigh>. Until further notice this list will be moderated. Hopefully sometime in the future, our subscribers will think twice about posting off-topic material, and others who just have to comment about the content, will take the time to send their remarks to the person posting the message, and not to the list. Please note, that messages posted to this list will be delayed since they will have to pass through my email first. I work during the day, so postings may be hours late reaching this list.
