My husband descends from Jacob and Catherine McCarty, through their son Joseph who married an unknown daughter of George Boyd of Stewart Co. He is the Joseph you referenced in your message. Joseph's daughter Mary Jane McCarty married Daniel Moore, son of James and Sarah Moore, and grandson of Gulley Moore of Montgomery Co., TN. Joseph died in 1853 in Lamar Co., TX, and is buried in the Springhill Cemetery. Have much to share on this family. Sue
