Dear Anelle, Here is something that I found several months ago and perhaps you can use it for a lead on Enoch McCarty son of Darby. In an abstract of Revolutionary War Pension Applications taken from FTM CD 120 NGS Quarterly, Volumes 1-85 Vol 28 Bumgardner, David and Catherine W 5,968 Va. Private and Agcy. He says he was born May 1758 in Shenandoah Co Va and there volunteered Sept. 1777; served three mos under Capt. Michael Rader, Lieut Enoch McCarty, Ens. Townsend Fuget, Cols. Steel & Gibson, Gen Hand. Marched to Fort Pitt. As you can see, Enoch McCarty and Townsend Fuget probably served in same unit As you likely know there are unproved but probable marriages between McCartys and Fugets. The information that I have about Townsend Fuget (Fugate) is that he died in Clay Co MO 3 July 1843.
