I'm looking for information about family that we know very little about. My grandmother, Mary Rita Barbara McCann, born around 1924, parents James Stephen McCann (b:1888?) & Mary Jane Doherty, of Quebec, possibly Montreal. James Stephen McCann's parents were John McCann (b:1854?) & Theresa Rodgers. John McCann's parents are listed as Patrick McCann & Margaret (or Marguerite) McCord/McCard. Patrick McCann's parents are listed in his marriage record, but I can't make out what their names are. Patrick & Margaret were married in Quebec in 1852, but I have no birth year. If anyone has more information on this line, or might know where I could pick up the trail after Patrick McCann, it would be much appreciated!
