I have four brothers: Peter, b. 1821; John, b. 1826; Arthur, b. 1828; and Patrick, b. 1831. They all immigrated and lived in Hibbert, Perth County, Ontario. Two of the brothers were in the 1851, 1861, 1871 census in Hibbert. Those were John and Arthur. On the 1851 census, Patrick was living with the family (he was about 20) but the last census he was marked in the U.S. Peter was with a wife Mary in Hibbert, but after that census, I have not been able to find either Patrick or Peter for sure. In the late 1880s, Arthur moved his family to North Dakota. Have you found anything more about this family? Could you share the letter that you have?
