This was a family of Shirt makers. The Matthew listed is my 2x great grandfather. They got to TROY New York about 1850 but moved around a lot. His son James was a shirt factory owner in the late 1890s, in North Adams, Massachusetts. But in between he was in Missouri, in 1860, where he married. And they spent some time in Maine and in Ontario Canada. James died in San Diego County, California. James had a couple of sons, most notable was Allen Rockwell McCann, who was a Naval Vice Admiral in WWII. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
