With my broadband down for 3 days there was a lot of emails waiting for me and there was another one about Rev. McCann and it was from the Rev. Steven Saxby who says: "I have a Bishop's chair from a redundant church which has legitimately come into my possession. I inherited it from my predecessor when I moved into my current vicarage. Anyway I just googled the name on it to find out which church it came from. I now realise it was St. Paul's at Westcliff (Southend) as the inscription on the chair says it was given in memory of - you guessed it - Rev. Wilton N. McCann - Vicar of that church from 1921 - 1929. I was so glad to discover all your notes. Peace and joy. Fr.Steven." I have asked him if he could supply a photo, fingers crossed, Sue.
